1-Mile and 4-Mile Family Walks

- Join Shamu for a new, unique and fun family walk through SeaWorld.
- Perfect for all ages, fitness and ability levels, you get to choose to do either a 1-mile or a 4-mile walk. Both walk distances will provide you the special opportunity to stroll through world famous SeaWorld before it opens to the public. (see below for more information)
- All registered walkers will receive 50% off admission to SeaWorld and an event T-shirt.
- All registered walkers will be treated to post-event refreshments and activities after the walk.
Please Note: Wheelchairs, baby joggers, and strollers are welcome, but no rollerskates, rollerblades or skateboards. Also, for the safety of all, pets are not allowed to participate in the walk.

WALK LOCATION AND DISTANCE
The walk starts and finishes in Rose Marie Starns South Shores Park on Mission Bay located just east of SeaWorld off of SeaWorld Drive.
You and the kids can walk the 1-mile (through SeaWorld) - then stop and enjoy the post-walk fun, or continue on to do the 4-mile course pushing young ones in a stroller along beautiful Mission Bay. If you continue on and do the 4-mile course, look for fun surprises along the way to keep you going and of course when you finish.
After the walk you'll enjoy fun activities, exciting booths, great refreshments, entertainment and more.
BENEFICIARY
Proceeds from this event will support health care, programs, education and research allowing Rady Children's Hospital to continue to provide the most advanced, pediatric services for our growing community.
Since 1954, Rady Children's has evolved from a 59-bed hospital for children with polio into a comprehensive pediatric healthcare system, treating nearly 80 percent of San Diego's hospitalized children. The Rady Children's continuum of care includes a 248-bed pediatric acute care hospital, a 59-bed convalescent hospital facility and a child protection center. With your support, Rady Children's will remain on the cutting edge of new health education techniques and state of the art medical procedures.

right here in San Diego to help kids at Rady Children's Hospital.
All participants will receive a Shamu & You T-shirt, free admission
to the post-walk festivities and a discount coupon to return to SeaWorld
after the walk. And you may qualify for some terrific prizes for
fundraising for Rady Children's.

TEAM UP FOR FUN!
Don’t miss this great opportunity to bring people together for a day of fun while supporting a wonderful cause! Register today to be a team captain, then encourage your friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, etc., to get involved in this great event with you and join your team. Deadline for team registration is September 21. If you have individuals who would like to join your team after the team deadline, they can still sign up as individuals online until Wednesday, October 3 and meet up with your team on the day of the walk.
Teams with 50+ walkers will recieve a complimentary team tent at the event and will also have their team name printed on the back of their walk T-shirts - last day to qualify for these benefits is September 21.
