The San Marcos Fitness Roundup is a fun-filled event offering something for everyone with a community 5K run/walk, challenging 12K mostly trail run up to the top of Double Peak and back and a post-race festival.
Register for the Double Peak Challenge 12K and receive a timing tag, commemorative medal, a technical T-shirt and a physical challenge and views from Double Peak that you won't soon forget! Space is limited to the first 500 participants to register for this unique event.
Register for the Community 5K Run/Walk and receive a timing tag, cotton T-shirt and a fun, relatively flat course around the Cal State San Marcos campus and surrounding city streets.
POST-RACE SHINDIG:
After your race, enjoy an awards ceremony featuring custom awards and Running Center gift certificates to age-group and overall winners, drawing prizes, tasty treats, live entertainment exciting vendor booths and more.
EVENT BENEFICIARY:
A portion of the event proceeds will benefit the Cal State San Marcos Athletic Department.
You can also become a fundraiser for the Cal State San Marcos Athletic Department through this event.

RUN FOR YOUR SCHOOL PROGRAM:
We recognize how today’s troubled economy has made the need to support our schools even greater and we’re committed to working you to raise funds for your school.
We’re putting on the San Marcos Community 5K Run/Walk or the Double Peak Challenge on Saturday, April 21 and invite you to participate in our Run for Your School program!
It’s easy: Just get ten or more students, parents, grandparents, neighbors, faculty, etc. from your school to register for this event and $5 from each entry fee will go back to your school! It’s that simple!
You can use the check we’ll send you as soon as two weeks after the event date for anything from art supplies to sports equipment and more! To get credit, just be sure each registration includes your school name.
To participate in this program, send an email to kelly@inmotionevents.com with how many entry forms and posters you’d like us to send you and start spreading the word at your school!
TEAMS:
An award will be given to the team with the largest number of participants. Another award will go to the team with the fastest median time. To be eligible, a team must have a minimum of 5 registered team members.

San Marcos Community 5K Run/Walk: Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-17, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
Double Peak Challenge 12K: Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers in the following age groups: 17 & under, 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+.
